Forklore: Recipes and Tales from an American Bistro

A story to savor
From the beginning, Paragraph and Fork have been working together to make the legendary restaurant what it is. Now we're working together to tell the restaurant's story to new audiences.

This year, Fork celebrates its 10th anniversary. But that's not the only cause for celebration. Paragraph is currently working in partnership with restaurateur/author Ellen Yin and Temple University Press to create Forklore: Recipes and Tales from an American Bistro. Scheduled for release this October, Forklore is filled with many flavorful recipes, delicious stories (including how Paragraph's Principal Bob Aretz helped create the name and brandmark), and more. Also, be on the lookout for special celebrations to commemorate the restaurant's 10th anniversary.

Fork's tale is now available online and will be on the shelves this fall wherever fine cookbooks are sold. You can pre-order Forklore today at www.amazon.com.

Outreach Publication
Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians

Connecting new Americans to regional opportunities
Paragraph worked to put a face on new Americans and the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians.

The Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that works with new Americans to help them find employment, and in turn, helps regional businesses meet their human resource needs. While we're currently working to refine organization's brand, Paragraph recently completed The Changing Face of Pennsylvania's Workforce: A Guide to Hiring and Working with New Americans. Changing Face was created to help state and regional employers and policymakers understand the nuances and benefits of working with this increasingly diverse population while also simplifying the finer points of immigration law.

College Catalog
Moore College of Art & Design

Moore College of Art & Design catalog

Moore than just a college
We all strive for that "a-ha" moment, and it recently happened during our concept presentation with Moore College of Art & Design. During the meeting, one staff member exclaimed, "I want to wear this. Finally we have a piece that captures who we are."

Founded in 1848, Moore College of Art & Design is the only women's visual arts college in the nation, and one of two in the world. Paragraph recently created their upcoming recruitment catalog entitled This is me, This is Moore, arguably the College's single most important publication. Paragraph used this undertaking as an opportunity to build Moore's brand and position the College as a place where creativity is cultivated and students are inspired to achieve their professional and artistic goals.

Adding value
With a growing client base comes increasing client needs, and to meet the demand, Stephano and Associates came to Paragraph for help.

Based in Wayne, PA, Stephano and Associates is a full-service accounting firm that serves a range of clients in a variety of industries from manufacturing to real estate development and beyond. To help Stephano and Associates connect with its growing client base and position the firm as a financial resource, not simply a financial service, Paragraph enhanced the firm's website to include more robust content, intuitive navigation, timely tax and financial information, and more. Among other things, learn how states calculate your corporate net income tax at www.stephanoassociates.com.

Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board's A Tale of Two Cities

A Tale of Two Cities

National recognition for a local tale
Initially designed to impact Philadelphians on issues surrounding workforce development, A Tale of Two Cities has been selected by AIGA, the professional association for design, to become part of its national Design Archives of outstanding work.

A Tale of Two Cities, which Paragraph created for the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board, will be included in the Information Design Category of the AIGA Design Archives. Selected from over 4,700 entries, A Tale of Two Cities will now become part of a historical record of notable graphic design. Tale will be included in their online Design Archives, while the physical artifact will become part of the AIGA Design Archives at the Denver Art Museum. A Tale of Two Cities will also be mounted as part of a public exhibition scheduled to open in December 2007 at the AIGA National Design Center in New York City and will be featured in the publication 365: AIGA Year in Design.

If you haven't read it, download a copy from the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board's new website www.pwib.org. Paragraph created this new site to focus on the issues raised in A Tale of Two Cities and create a community where Philadelphia as a whole can develop solutions to its human capital challenges.

PRINT Magazine Regional Design Annual
Almanac Market and Fralinger's

Almanac Market and Fralinger's

On newsstands this fall
Not to ruin the suspense, but we're pretty darn excited... Paragraph is proud to announce that both Almanac Market's brandmark and Fralinger's Peanut Butter Chews box have been selected from more that 20,000 entries for inclusion in PRINT Magazine's upcoming regional design annual.

With summer in full-swing, fresh produce is ripe for the picking. If you're in Philadelphia, stop by Almanac Market at 4th and Poplar Streets for the best local products, produce, gourmet goodies, and more.

As for Fralinger's Peanut Butter Chews, well, the box not only looks good, but its contents taste good too. To get your hands on some, you have a few options. Perhaps the most fun is making a weekend out of it by heading to Atlantic City and picking up a box at a Fralinger's store. Or, you could save gas and buy them online at www.seashoretaffy.com or www.zingermans.com. And if you're still looking, stop by your local Cracker Barrel.
